LOVE STORY
While receiving an award at a business summit in Dana Point, David told the crowd of over three hundred people how much Wendi had influenced and bettered his business. Then, David called Wendi up on stage and asked her to be his wife with the cheering crowd in the background.

LOVE NOTE
Although they loved each wedding detail – from the vibrant lighting and palm trees to lavish gold lanterns – they truly cherished their first dance together as husband and wife.

I started my business in…
2008.

This is how it came to be & A little bit about my background…
Krystel was born and raised in sunny San Diego, CA. She received her degree in Communications with a minor in Public Relations at Point Loma Nazarene University.  Krystel spent several years in the fashion and entertainment industry, working with some of the top modeling agencies, fashion designers, and FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising) before stepping into the world of events where she freelanced with one of the most prestigious event production companies, Events International Company, in Malibu, CA .

In 2008, she was able to combine her love for fashion and events by founding Couture Events! Coming from the world of fashion where couture is everything, she wanted to combine all of the elements of couture into her events: quality, handmade, gorgeous, unique, and glamorous. Her reputation has grown quickly as she is now one of the most sought after wedding coordinators in the San Diego area.

The flower or décor element I never tire of…
Peonies and lace.

My favorite wedding color palette combination is…
Blush, ivory and gold.

One or two words to describe my style…
Timeless and sophisticated.

My best advice to couples for the big day…
Enjoy every moment of it! Don’t let the little things get to you and let us take care of the big things.

If I could have any other occupation in the world, I would…
Be a fashion designer.

If I had no limits, my dream vacation would be…
Coordinating a wedding in Paris, France.

My favorite holiday is…
Easter! My favorite flowers are in bloom and everyone is wearing pastels.

LOVE STORY
After catching an afternoon movie, Barbara and her friend went to a nearby café for dessert. While they enjoyed their treats, Barbara saw Frank walk into the café, and the two ended up chatting for the rest of the evening. Frank recalls that he knew Barbara was the one he had been waiting for all along.

Treasure Trove | B. Toffee

B. Toffee

Word B. told. I am a wedding favor snob and often suggest couples not bother. But when a package filled with darling boxes of B. Toffee arrived at the office, I knew this was a favor idea I could really sink my teeth into. Deliciously rich with the perfect amount of crunch, B. Toffee is the perfect little gift that won’t be left behind. You can even find some at our favorite wedding locales, but be sure to call ahead B.fore it’s B.gone.

I started my business in
2008

This is how it came to be…
In 2008, my cousin, who is a platinum wedding coordinator in San Francisco, wanted me to take over her clients in Los Angeles. Before I knew it, I was planning all her events on my own. And here I am today.

I find inspiration…
In lighting and full lighting production! Whether it’s a light projection or a vinyl sticker, a monogrammed dance floor gives every wedding its own personal touch!

The perfect wedding day signature cocktail is…
An apple martini. You can never go wrong with those.

My design philosophy is…
Less is more. Don’t ever go over the top with too many things because it becomes too distracting. Stick to one thing that pops or is the focal point, and then let everything else be an accent to it. Your guests will never forget it.

Mehri Photography via CeremonyBlog.com

My favorite wedding color palette combination is…
Pinks with champagnes. I absolutely love how simple and elegant they can be, and I love how they can work with a variety of different wedding themes. Pinks and champagnes are the perfect touch to any wedding.

One or two words to describe my style are…
Unique and detail oriented. I like my all of my work to be different from everyone else’s, but I like it to be clean and concise. If every detail isn’t perfect, then it throws off the balance of everything, so I pay close attention to even the smallest of details. For example, I make sure every napkin’s fold is the same. I want to make sure that all party favors are facing the same direction, and the list goes on.

Something every couple should know after they get engaged is…
That your wedding is YOUR wedding day and no one else’s. Don’t let others influence and take control of your special day because in the end all that really matters is that you are satisfied with your wedding. When you leave that ballroom, you want to know that you had the best wedding possible and that no one can ever top that.

If I had no limits, my dream vacation would be…
A full trip around Europe. I’d love to spend a few days in various countries such as France, England, Italy, Spain, Ireland and then end in Greece. I would love to spend an entire month exploring all of these countries and attending weddings there.

My favorite reality TV show is…
Millionaire Match Maker. I just can’t get enough of that show! I am obsessed with the whole concept.

My favorite sports team is…
The Lakers!

Aaron Eye Photography via CeremonyBlog.com

If I could have front row seats to any concert, I would see
Britney Spears. I know, I know…. xo

My biggest pet peeve is…
Being late. I always arrive early to places because I feel like if you’re not early, then you are late. Ask my staff, they hate me for this rule.

The best day of my life was…
The day I married my college sweetheart! May I never have to live one day without him.

If money were no object…
I would constantly go on shopping sprees. Convertible cars are my weakness

My favorite thing on my desk is…
My wine glass. In this business you have to drink!

Something most people don’t know about me…
I hate hate hate wedding shows on TV and how scripted they are! I will never watch them and I try to get all my brides to stop watching them too.
